In keeping with the YMCA purpose, Gar Nation is non profit. Donations (normally $10-$15) are accepted to cover the cost and shipping of T-shirts and are totally optional. Our mission is build comaraderie, teamwork, and unity of purpose!
Several boxes of t-shirts were given to the High Point, NC YMCA in the Fall of 2020 They were left over from the summer sports programs. The box was salvaged by GAR and brought to Camp Cheerio, a mountain top summer camp in Glade Valley, NC. There the boxes sat untouched in a closet until the Spring of 2021. GAR NATION was conceived

GAR NATION was conceived during staff training by staff members and the T-Shirts were printed by Gar. After much deliberation, Gar Nation was founded by two strong, smart, brave, and proud cabins on June 29, 2021
Gar Nation citizens are everywhere and every age. They descend in droves upon Camp Cheerio in the summer months. Anytime there is a need for a ‘RED’ team, a skit, or just a fun time, Gar Nation responds. There is no structure, just random fun!
